RSS Feeds

What are RSS feeds?  RSS initials are for "Rich Site Summary" or "Really Simple Syndication."  RSS is a method for web sites and people who publish on the internet to make their content easily available for other sites to use.

RSS feeds also makes it easy for you to know when they've added new content or updated content on their web site.  This keeps you from having to sign up for those pesky email announcements that clutter up your email in-box.  An RSS feed summarizes the content that is available on a web site and provides you a convenient way to stay up to date on new information available at your favorite sites. All you have to do is subscribe to their RSS feed!

To subscribe to their feed you need an "RSS reader" or "aggregator".  This is simply a program that will read and display the RSS feed. The reader keeps a list of the RSS feeds you subscribe to and allows you to view the content.  It definitely saves you the time and hassle of continually checking back to different sites to see if there's anything new.

There are many RSS readers available. If the browser you are using happens to be "Windows Internet Explore" version 7 or later you will find that it has a built in reader!   Just click on this RSS icon     and it will display the easiplans.com RSS feed. Click on "Subscribe to this feed" That's it!

A free standalone RSS feed reader can be found at FeedReader.
